Frequently Asked Questions

I practice therapy in a person-centred, relational way that prioritizes collaborative exploration over structured protocol. My main framework is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), an evidence-based modality that focuses on creating a meaningful life, even in the presence of difficult thoughts or emotions. The ACT model allows flexibility, so if you are curious about a specific approach, feel free to ask me about it. I will always be honest about whether other modalities can be integrated appropriately.

Many of my clients are men navigating life transitions, identity exploration, anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, and relationship issues. If you do not fit into that category, that’s okay. I offer a free 15-minute consultation, and if it’s not a good fit, I am happy to help you find other options.

I am able to direct bill a number of insurance providers in BC. However, some providers and plans don’t allow it. In this case, I can provide a receipt for you to be reimbursed by your provider. I accept payment by e-transfer, cash, or cheque.

That is completely okay — a strong therapeutic connection is essential. I will support you to explore your concerns, and if they’re not something we can address together, I can offer suggestions for an alternative.
